Shop Tour

Our shop is always open for the public. We do suggest you call ahead to make sure time is available at your convenience. We do have two scheduled open houses. The first is the Friday night during the enormous AACA Spring Swap Meet at Lowe's Motor Speedway in April, and again during the October Goodguys Show. The Goodguys deal is on Thursday afternoon, serving as the final stop on the Poker Run to NASCAR shops and local points of interest. We generally see around 400 cars during the day!

Ron Covell Sheetmetal Seminar

Fatman has hosted Ron Covell Seminars for the last 8 years, training both pros and amateur fabricators. Courses begin with the basics and proceed thru advanced skills, in both steel and aluminum. Ron goes as far as building complete fuel tanks, motorcycle fenders, and sprint car bodies. Fatman has the sheetmetal working equipment for the big jobs to speed things up, but Ron does a great job of showing how complicated projects can be performed using basic hand tools. He truly is "Dr. Hammer"! Classes are limited to 25 people and fill up early. Check out Ron's website,covell@cruzio.com, for early registrations.
